At Sherpa do Mar we want to contribute to the competitiveness of SMEs and microSMEs of the Euroregion Galicia-North of Portugal whose activity is linked to the marine-maritime environment.

Until the 19th of February 2021, the free service will be available through any requesting entities that will be able to know their competitive position compared to other organizations in the sector, in addition to evaluating their capacities and needs in the field of R&D&i.

At Sherpa do Mar project we want to contribute to improving competitiveness and growing the business tissue of the Galicia-North Portugal Euroregion, promoting innovation in organizations.

With this objective, a new section is opened on our website called “Sherpa Journeys - Business”, in which any SME or micro-SME, whose activity is linked to the marine-maritime field, can find out its competitive position compared to other entities in the sector, in addition to evaluate their capacities and needs in R&D&i.

To obtain this personalized diagnosis, companies must request their participation in a survey on capacities and needs in R + D + i. Through the information provided in the questionnaire, Sherpa do Mar will be able to identify the main capacities and needs of each company in terms of innovation.

The results of this survey and the personalized Benchmarking report, called “InnoBench Report” (developed by the Consortium of the Vigo Free Zone, GAIN - Axencia Galega de Innovación and the REDE research group of the University of Vigo), will be provided to each participating company in a totally individualized way in order to measure its performance in innovation.

Completing this questionnaire will also allow entities to enter into a selection process in which twenty organizations of "priority nature" will be chosen, based on their degree of connection with the marine-maritime sector, their years of activity and its size.

The twenty companies chosen will have access to an itinerary to improve their innovation capacities, as well as an individualized monitoring service in order to establish priorities and design a roadmap that will allow them to effectively promote their innovative performance.
